Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Metrics
Our ESG Metrics Table provides an overview of our progress during fiscal year 2022 against key goals across our three sustainability pillars: People, Planet and Products. We believe that being transparent about our progress is foundational to building trust.
This section contains external disclosures aligned with several key environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards and frameworks such as Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), CDP (formerly the Climate Disclosure Project) and the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO).
SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board): Established as an independent standards-setting organization, SASB has issued 77 sector-specific standards to enable businesses around the globe to identify, manage and communicate financially-material sustainability information to their investors.
CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project): Since 2014, we’ve disclosed climate performance to CDP. CDP enables companies to evaluate and improve environmental performance related to Climate Change, Forests and Water security issues by identifying and implementing best practices and communicating goals and progress to our key stakeholders. NOTE: 2023 submission (for CY 2022) is not yet publicly available.
RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil): We’ve disclosed to RSPO since 2014. The RSPO has developed a set of environmental and social criteria which companies must comply with in order to produce Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO). When they are properly applied, these criteria can help to minimize the negative impact of palm oil cultivation on the environment and communities in palm oil-producing regions.
Codes of Conduct & Policies
Our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics (PDF 0.17MB) provides guidance to all employees (teammates) and reaffirms our commitment to the highest possible personal and corporate standards of business conduct. Directors and employees are required to acknowledge and agree to our code on a regular basis and we maintain an anonymous, confidential whistleblowing hotline.
